The Golf Reunion Tournament

May 2006 marked the day of competition and reunion among SEMenites!
Dubbed as the UP S.E.Men Golf Tournament, the day-long event featured more than 20 UP SEMenites and guests competing for the tournament title. Tees were off at around 10 in the morning and the players were more than excited to graze through the grass course, despite of the scorching heat of the sun. At the end of it all, and quite surprising to the participants, a 14-year old guest bested all her competitors. And yes, you read it right, she's a she! But living the spirit of camaraderie among the participants, UP SEMen Golf tournament still capped the event with a night of fun and celebration. After a very tiring day of hitting golf balls, everyone savored over a feast of mouth-watering buffet. The awarding ceremony followed the dinner and after that, special items, from boxes of sports drink to a DVD player, were raffled off to the event's participants and guests.
The UP SEMen Golf Tournament is for the benefit of the college scholars of UP S.E.Men. The proceeds of the event went to the fund supporting the three scholars of UP S.E.Men--Rusell Aragones, Raymond Salvador and Jeff Garma, all senior students of UP Diliman College of Business Administration. The three scholars, as well as two other re-founding members of UP SEMen (Mar Capistrano and Pete Medina) visited the event and were presented to the organization's alumni.
